Windermere is a residential neighbourhood with some seriously huge mansions hiding behind the trees. Just when you think you are completely lost in suburbia a historic wooden house materialises and begs you to enter. Inside you are met with a weird but wonderful mixture of brightly coloured memorabilia, ramshackle furniture and the smell of barbeque. Or BBQ as it is most often referred to in The South. Brisket, sausages, pulled pork, you name it – all house smoked meats served up as sandwiches, wraps, tacos or simply on a tray with some hot sauce on the side.
